Built in 1925 and designated a national historic landmark, Philadelphia’s beautiful Alden Park Apartments are a unique example of early 20th century luxury and urban living. BET&R was engaged to assist with the task of preserving this unique historical landmark during renewal and updating of exterior envelope components. BET&R’s involvement began with an evaluation survey of the roofs of the three buildings comprising the complex, and continued through from providing recommendations for repair, retrofit, and maintenance of the roof systems, to working with the project architect in designing a suitable, sound roof system for this complex, multi-phase roof replacement project, and providing technical spot-monitoring of the reroofing work.
