BET&R technical staff have served in an advisory capacity to numerous industry associations, and are actively involved in industry standard setting through the Western States Roofing Contractors' Association (WSRCA), Roofing Contractors’ Institute (RCI), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), National Research Council of Canada (NRCC), and other professional industry organizations. Jim Carlson, BET&R’s Technical Director, currently serves as Technical Advisor to WSRCA, assisting member contractors with material and compatibility questions, resolution for problem jobs, system recommendations, and other technical items.
